Winning projects in the SDG Innovation Fund Moldova contest
The SDG Innovation Fund was created as part of the project “Support to the Moldovan Government in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda”, with the goal to support the implementation of at least six cross-sectoral small-scale projects to foster the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Republic of Moldova. These small-scale projects are joint actions of at least two different stakeholder groups (e.g. public authorities, civil society, private sector, academia) aiming to foster multi-stakeholder partnerships in line with the Principles of the 2030 Agenda.
By mid March 2021, over 100 project proposals have been received and this made the selection process more challenging. The large number of applications underlines the strong interest of stakeholders in accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The SDG Innovation Fund’s Advisory Board assessed the proposals and identified 6 finalist highest scoring projects based on the eligibility and evaluation criteria, which can be found on this website on the application process page. The selected finalist projects have a thematic focus on social and/or environmental affairs, will start during August 2021 and will have a total implementation period of up to 12 months and total budgets of the awards between 50,000 to 70,000 Euro each.
Out of all the applications, the following projects have been selected for funding by the SDG Innovation Fund Moldova, the list below.
